In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Public Health Week will go ahead on 11-15 May, with a new focus:

Joining Forces for Healthier Populations

CALLING ALL PUBLIC HEALTH ACTORS ACROSS EUROPE: GET INVOLVED!

Why?

Governments, scientists, health professionals and the civil society must work together to tackle the pandemic and raise awareness about public health.

How?

Mobilise your team, institution, country or region to host an online event between 11 and 15 May.

Share knowledge and experiences about COVID-19 or any of the
5 EUPHW themes
.

You can also contact colleagues in other countries to co-host an event with you.

Pick a theme

You can link the pandemic to any of the 5 EUPHW themes or focus your event exclusively on COVID-19.

Mon 11 May (Promoting health through the Global Goals)
Is the air in your area cleaner due to “stay at home” policies?
How is “health in all policies” applying in your country?

Tue 12 May (Primary care in the digital age)
How do patients with chronic diseases manage their health during the pandemic?
How is Europe supporting its healthcare workers?

To follow international recommendations
all EUPHW 2020 events should be online only. Examples:

  • Webinars (lectures, seminars, panel discussions, debates, interviews)
  • Social media campaigns (Facebook Live sessions, Twitter chats, Q&A with experts)
  • Launch of videos, reports, summaries of past events, and other publications
  • Pre-recorded presentations
  • Online challenges or contests
  • Mass media interviews
